The HP calculator user groups have been holding conferences, almost annually since 1979. The most recent one was held in the Chicago area in September and was called "HHC2005". The web sites for the last three conferences are still up if you want to see them:
HHC2003 is located at http://holyjoe.net/hhc2003/
HHC2004 is located at http://holyjoe.net/hhc2004/
HHC2005 is located at http://holyjoe.net/hhc2005/
The next U.S. conference is tentatively scheduled for September 16th and 17th and various locations are being discussed, such as San Diego, San Jose and others. Information will be posted here and at comp.sys.hp48 when it is firm - probably by early Summer. For what it's worth, all the conferences going back to 1989 have been videotaped. For info on obtaining copies, check out
http://www.pahhc.org/video.htm on the web.
