Rebuilding a HP-67 battery pack
Message #1 Posted by Albert on 15 Sept 2005, 10:10 p.m.

Hi all,

I must rebuild a HP-67 battery pack. Questions: Can I use a NiMH battery type set instead of a classic Ni-Cd type set? Problems, advises, tips? Power consumption suggested: 1600 - 2000 or 2300 mAh? Thanks in advance.

NiMH cells work better than the original nicads. No memory effect to worry about discharging batteries before recharging and they will run the machine for very long times. You do have to keep them on the charger for quite a while to fully charge them (like 24-48 hours, depending upon their capacity).
