HP-11C Disassembly - link
Message #1 Posted by Gordon Dyer on 1 July 2005, 6:13 p.m.

I found this site which contains calculator info and an 11C disassembly with a lot of good pictures. Hope you all enjoy it.

Hi, Gordon; (are you well?)

Thanks for the link. What I noticed in the process is that the worst part is not shown, i.e., dealing with the plastic rivets. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that part of the process is missing, I mean, at least one photo and one additional step might be added.

When separating top and botton halves of a regular HP11C (or any other voyager), the mainboard remains attached to the top half. The picture thatīs refered to as the top and botton separation actually shows the mainboard after being dettached from the top half. The picture sequence does not show the process of separating the mainboard from the upper half case, although it mentions that it must be carefuly done. To those that have done it before, the sequence may be confusing.

All of the rest seem fine.

Best regards.

Luiz (Brazil)
