Special Functions on HP41
Message #1 Posted by Scott Guth on 7 June 2005, 12:35 p.m.

Hi all,

I've got program listings for some of the "special" mathematical functions (gamma, beta, incomplete gamma, error function, etc. are at http://www.hpmuseum.org/software/41/41msmath.htm) for the HP41c calculators, but what I really want is a ROM module with those functions built-in.

Is there such a thing? To me, it's inconceivable that they are not! ;-P

I am writing some statistics software, and need F, t, chi-square, and z critical- and p- values. I've got the Math, Stat, and Advantage ROMs, but no luck!

Thanks all, Scott

Get NoVRAM and you're set

You can type in that program and load it into the ROM yourself.

And, you'll be able to copy the MATH/STAT rom in there too.

Look for postings by Diego Diaz.

My SandMath_3 module (available on TOS) had RPN programs for GAMMA and BETA. In its new version, thay are implemented as MCODE functions.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll send it to you. (will need your email address)

Getting a NoVRAM is still a wise idea!

Best, ÁM

Sure wish we had those manuals :-)

good catch Gene! I'll be on a long airplane flight tomorrow, and promise to take a stab at the QRG's.
