Help needed on ACX and ACA (HP-41)
Message #1 Posted by GWB on 15 May 2005, 2:35 p.m.

Are there equivalent of these functions for the HP-42S and HP-82240B IR Printer? By what I have found so far these functions were used for transferring the contents of X or alpha registers to the HP-82143A IR printer buffer before printing. Simply replacing them with PRX and PRA does not give the original printout (printing in more than one column).

Thanks.

The HP-42S does not have anything like ACX and ACA. You'll have to make do with the alpha register, and if you want to do bit-mapped graphics, you have to create them on the display and then use PRLCD to print them.

Thanks Thomas,

You are right, I didn't find anything in the HP-42S manual. I will have to rewrite the printing routines of the 41C program. I was just trying to get the same output of the original program: four columns of 5-digit numbers per line.

Thanks,

Gerson.
