HP-19C key trouble
Message #1 Posted by laget on 27 Mar 2005, 11:37 a.m.

Each time a number is entered, the led return something like 0.00000000 The Item looks perfectly clean and almost unused. Somebody knows the test I could do in order to fix and solve the problem ? Many thanks

A display of 000000000 (usually without a decimal point) in a Spice series machine is almost always caused by a bad ACT chip. This is the big chip on the circuit board. The only source of a replacement is another Spice series machine (21/25/25C/67/91/92/97). Different machines have different part numbers on the chip, but they all seem compatible. The HP27 chip is NOT compatible.

Many thanks I'll try to replace the chip, and tell you if it works
