Re: HP-41CV clearing malfunction Message #2 Posted by Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) on 22 Dec 2004, 4:36 p.m., in response to message #1 by Tom Storino
Hi, Tom;
please, allow me a silly question. Have you tried either of both:
1)removing the SURVEY module, or 2)checking if USER mode is active?
Maybe, just maybe, the 'Display bearing' routine is assigned to the [CLx] key, and either of both actions should solve the problem. The worst case would be removing the module (calculator OFF, of course), trying [CLx] while USER mode is active and having a NONEXISTENT message, meaning an internal function/program was actually assigned to it (XROM something).
BTW, if USER mode is active, simply press the [USER] key to deactivate it (it's a toggle key, so you can turn USER mode back on again anytime you need).
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
