HP 41 Time/PPC Mod operations
Message #1 Posted by Derek on 2 Dec 2004, 2:31 p.m.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me an easy way to verify whether or not my modules are working in my HP-41CV. I have a time module with no manual, and PPC ROM.

I'm sure I'll be able to figure out the PPC Rom after reading the manual, but if you know of something obvious please let me know.

Thanks, Derek

You can execute CATALOG 2 function which will list all the plug-in modules in your 41CV. However, CV unlike CX, will list all the functions in each module what (with PPC) takes long time and can be confusing. The easy way is to execute TIME function from time module -> [XEQ]{ALPHA]TIME[ALPHA] what should show the time on LCD (probably incorrect since you haven't set it up). From PPC module you can execute any of several hundred functions but the most striking one is DT -> [XEQ][ALPHA]DT[ALPHA]. This will test your LCD display by turning on all of its segments and announciators. To get out of it switch to program mode -> press [PRGM] and press R/S.

Manuals for pretty much everything are available on CDs/DVD from this site, see here.
