Thx again. Didn't have to do this, but I will keep it in mind. It is working properly now, though.
I removed the batteries and started prying gingerly to see how the casing was put together. I had just identified the catch points when I decided to see if you had responded. When I put the batteries back in as preperation for trying your method, the calculator came alive properly.
Apparently my prying reseated whatever had come loose from the display. The results of my prior key entries was present in the display, confirming the micro was performing properly, but the display was not.
