Do any of these units have provision for using an external keyboard or monitor?

There's no provision for a standard external keyboard nor monitor on any of these models. However I believe that someone made an external keyboard that interfaced to the HP100/200LX via the serial port and some driver software. I've never heard of any external monitor device for these machines -- it's hard to imagine how that could be done without a major motherboard modification.

Dave,

I did a quick Google search and came up with the following links:

HP Journal Keyboard adapted to HP-200LX:

http://www.palmtoppaper.com/store/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=38

Newton Keyboard adapted to HP-200LX:

http://www.palmtoppaper.com/ptphtml/36/pt360022.htm

Proposed Keyboard for HP-95LX:

http://www.palmtoppaper.com/ptphtml/13/pt130027.htm

Not sure if any of these are actually still available. You may want to spend some time at www.palmtoppaper.com which has a wealth of info on the HP-95/100/200.

Hope this helps.

Bill

For DOS sessions, CON: (console device) redirection to COM1: may be something to explore...
