HP-87 EDISK query
Message #1 Posted by John on 19 Feb 2004, 7:23 p.m.

Hi,

I have an HP-87 with the EDISK (Electronic Disk) ROM but no manual, and have a query about allocating memory to EDISK which I wonder if anyone can answer please.

Heres what I know so far:

With 2 x 128K Memory modules plugged in, total memory is about 260K. If I type CONFIG (no parameters) an electronic disk of 160K is formed (accessed as :D000), leaving 128K for programs (minus 4K overheads).

With 1 x 128K Memory module plugged in, total = 160K. When I type CONFIG an electronic disk of 32K is formed, again leaving 128K for programs.

Question is, is there an option to reduce the memory left for programs and increase the sizeof the electronic disk?

Thanks, John
