HP-41C unusual serial number
Message #1 Posted by Marc on 28 Jan 2004, 1:28 p.m.

Hi,

Some weeks ago, I successfully awakened one of my 41s, after 15 years of sleep. It works wonderfully, and I discovered, after having played a little with it, that it holds an unusual serial number. That is, it doesn't conform to the HP standard I was used to see (YYWWC#####). Instead, I discovered a silver sticker which says 47067993 (third character looks more like a "zero" than the letter 'O'). What does that mean ? Is it a particular way to number refurbished units ? I've got no clue. Any hint is welcome ! Thanks !

Regards from France

Marc

Hello Matthias,

I'm afraid I don't know how to post an image on this forum. I don't have a personal web page, so I can't give a link to the image. Please could you tell me more about the method I could use ?

Thanks in advance ! Marc
