Problem with HP49+, conn4x Message #1 Posted by Hugh Wong on 14 Nov 2003, 6:47 p.m. Hi, My HP49+ has some problem connecting to the HP conn4x software. 1st. when I turn on the HP49+ and do the right-shift, -> arrow key combination, the HP49+ will say Await- server-comd and will not say Xmodem-server, and conn4x cannot find the HP49+; but sometimes the right-shift,-> keys will make the HP49+ display Xmodem Server, in that case, the conn4x may find the HP. By trial and error, I found that the " alpha, right-shift, -> " keys will definitly bring the Xmodem Server message on, but the Conn4x may still not find the HP. Does anybody encounter the same problem ? Furthermore, if I go to i/o menu and set the transfer parameter to Xmodem and select OK, next time I go to i/o - transfer, again, kermit parameter is automatic reset back. Is this a HP49+ hardware problem or "conn4x" problem ? All other function on the HP49+ seems OK. Hugh
