Message #1 Posted by Matthias Wehrli on 8 Aug 2003, 2:15 p.m.

Hi Volks!

Here the latest news for our meeting in Basel (CH) on september 20:

1. Members: Until now, I know, that the following persons will join us:

Thibaut Cousin (BE) Emmanuel Compes (F) Jean-Francios Garnier (F) Matthias Wehrli (CH) Daniel Diggelmann (CH) Klaus Bussinger (CH) Christoph Giesselink (I don't have your email!) Raymond Del Tondo (DE) Christoph Klug (DE) Massimo Gnerucci (I) (I don't have your email!) Ángel Martin (?)

2. Programm: My personal whis is to meet some other collectors, programmers, ... and to talk to them. I will have 1-2 side activities if desired, but I will not “plan” this day. Just let us join and enjoy.

Let us fix a time... 10 am. We meet on my personal appartment:

Matthias Wehrli Bettenstrasse 53a CH-4123 Allschwil (1km away from Basel)

Emmanuel will offer one of the following workshops, if desired:

- burning Eproms for HP-41 Eprom Box and HP-71 HHP Eprom module - building a 4K Eprom box for HP-41 - transfering data from/to HP-41 to/from PC

If you also want to offer a workshop, please contact me (room, reservation, material) and the forum.

3. overnight stay: There are different possibilities:

- hotel in the area of Basel: double room with shower and toilett arround €100 - youth hostel in Basel: arround €20 (not checked the price)

Please have a look at the internet (Google “hotel Basel”). I can not arrange overnight stays for everybody... (I also have a normal job to do aside of my collection..)

So, I hope I don’t have forget too much....

Matthias

Great Matthias !

I propose that everybodyu brings something typical from his place, so that we can also share "cultural" experiences...

I'm looking forward to being over there !

Grützli,

Thibaut

Dear Matthias,
Will need a 286, 386 or 486 with two ISA slots free.
Else do you have a (S)VGA monitor and a PS2 keyboard?
Will come with Jean-François. Phoned him this afternoon.
Thanks for your idea of a meeting. Really nice!
Will come back on 30/08 (vacation).
Yours.
emmanuel

If needed, I do have here a old 486 with plenty of Isa slots. Matthias should provide Swiss A/C cords, I know by experience than French/German.Belgian ones don't fit over there (too thick)

Matthias,

Great plans. I´d also like to have a discussion or workshop on HEPAX vs. RAMBOX. Anybody else interested?

I have compiled a collection of mcode routines into a 4k page (project SANDBOX), and would be nice to share it with all of you if you cared.

Best wishes, Ángel Martin

All,

I would really like to come to Basel, but this is not possible for me at that date. Maybe next time?

I hope to come with Reimund Del Torno :-) because we have nearly the same way (from Hannover and Hildesheim) to Basel.

I want to present some interface hardware (I/O-Board, IL2000, second generation HP-IL/PC Card), and a nice interrupt circuit (external power on) for HP41.

Furthermore I take the exotic AEC-Rom to the meeting. Hope Emmanuel disassemble this 12KByte bankswitched rom during the meeting for use with EMU41...

Best wishes - Christoph
