Nimh N-cells
Message #1 Posted by 41Jeff on 13 June 2003, 10:44 a.m.

I am using an Hp41 with card reader and would like to use 360 mah Nimh cells. Does anyone know how I might charge these cells? I have an AA Nicad/Nimh charger from Radio Shack but I think an adapter would be required to charge N cells.

There are adapters made for charging the N cells in a AA slot. I beleive that Radio Shack has them in their catalog (or did at one time). They are basically just a spring loaded space filler. Should not be hard to cobble up something that would work... even a short piece of metal rod should be fine.

Radio Shack has an N cell holder to adapt N cells to AA size charger ports: catalog #270-405.
