9815/9825 tape drive
Message #1 Posted by Achim on 11 June 2003, 6:46 p.m.

Can anybody tell me, which type of lamp for end-of-tape detection is build in the internal tape drive of a 9815 or 9825? The lamp is burned out and I need to replace it.

That bulb runs straight off the 5V line, and is not that bright, so it's probably a 6V bulb. I think there's a 6V, 60mA bulb about that size, which I'd try first. There are 2 bulbs in the tape drive, one to detect the hole in the tape and one for the tachometer sensor. They are in parallel electrically, and AFAIK the 2 bulbs are the same type, so if only one has failed you could measure the current through the good one to get some idea of the rating.
