If HP made toasters . .
They would each have one slot. You would put one piece of bread in, push "Enter", then put the next piece of bread in, and so on.
You could toast up to four slices at once, but you'd have to retrieve them one by one. You could swap and reorder their positions before retrieving, and once you'd filled the toaster with four slices, you could extract an infinite number of slices (though, all of the same type of bread)!
