HP-42S bug list?
Message #1 Posted by Gene on 8 Apr 2003, 11:35 a.m.

Wondering if there is a good list of HP-42S bugs anywhere?

I know of a couple:

1) On some early 42s models, when in LINSUM mode (as compared to ALLSUM), LASTX returns LASTY. This may be on very early ones, as my 42s made in 1988 does not have this bug.

2) Forecasting Y-hat values in a power curve fit has a mistake. A work around was published in HPX.

Any others? Corrections?

CAUTION: you will loose your 42s memory

When in linsum, use a matrix as stat data: first you will see an odd number of data. Then use MEM and system hung ... bye bye memory!
