Message #1 Posted by Lgomez on 28 Feb 2003, 1:02 p.m.

I have a HP41C. Trere's a lot of dust into display. I've tried open the calculator and remove the board to access to the display. I can remove the first board, but i don't know how can i remove the board with keys and display. I need help. Do i need cut plastic sticks? Thanks

Hi;

there is an easy way to clean the space between the LCD assy and the plastic shield (window) in front if it. In the upper side of the LCD assy there is a plastic "holder" that is intended to line the LCD and avoid dust. This holder is a single plastic piece (black) and is easily removable.

Putting it appart you can gently lift the LCD enough to allow cleanning procedures.

I suggest readind this and this previous threads. There are lots of suggestions and you'll find the best solution for your particular situation.

Success and best regards.
