OT: Name Chg: Raymond Hellstern -> R. Del Tondo
Message #1 Posted by Raymond Del Tondo (Germany) on 18 Jan 2003, 3:50 p.m.

Hi all,

just in case someone wonders about that new poster 'Raymond Del Tondo'. It's me.

My girl and me got married yesterday, and since we didn't want a double name, nor two separate names, I took the name of her family.

Regards,

Raymond (Del Tondo [former Hellstern])

Congratulations!

It's very nice to see couples choosing to keep the woman’s last name once in a while.

Hi;

I waited a bit more so the thread will last for a little longer. As you are in a honeymoon for now, you'll probably read these messages later

I wish you both the best. In every sense. Even the best calcs you can have...

Happiness for you.

Vieira, Luiz C.

Congratulations and my best wishes for you and your loving wife. And may your children grow up "the right way" learning RPN and liking HP calculators as much as we all do.

Live long and prosper (no pun intended.)

Congratulations! :-)

Your name now sounds very impressive and implies: "most respected Esquire!"

My best wishes, 'mille kilo de merde' (ask s.o. else about the meaning), andauerndes Glück - Wohlbefinden - langes Leben.

Congratulations, and contrary to others I wish your interests shift from calculators to your wife and, as their time comes (as luck permits) your child(ren).

Did you consider "Del Stern" or "Hell Tondo" or . . .

No, I guess you made a wise choice! (An associate pastor at a church I know finally took her husband's name after almost 20 years of marriage when she realized that, as a result, she'd be automatically seated next to him on airline trips -- a very practical benefit of sharing a surname.)

Congratulations, and may your marriage be even more enjoyable, durable, serviceable and rewarding than have been your (classic) HP calculators!

DEL "instruction" in your new family name

Congratulations!

It seems that the very HP-like DEL instruction in your wife's last name had the effect to "delete" your previous family name ...

:-)

Many thanks for your replies and wishes!

My wife has highest priority, of course. Since she knows me for a long time, and she also knows about my crazy hobby, the RPN calcs, there shouldn't be a problem for both worlds being happy;-)

Best Wishes,

Raymond
