Do you have or can you get an AME Design Port-X-Tender? It allows you to switch between several modules without the hassle of plugging and unplugging them. They appear every once in a while on eBay and are not expensive, so you could try one.
On the other hand, I have been trying to get a ROM image of the Petroleum Fluids Pac using the HEPAX module but have not pursued it seriously. Could be an interesting project if possible. I can give it a try these days and keep you posyed.
