Someone should be the first one, so... Merry X-mas!

Hi;

as we all are here for more than simply talk about HP calculators, I am sure I can take a bit of this place to talk about other important things in our lifes.

Not much to say, what matters is the gesture. I wish I could write this in as many languages as I can, but I'll take my place and write in Portuguese, waiting for you all post in your own languages:

I will add some german and swiss german words:

German: Ich wünsche euch allen gesegnete Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Swiss german: I wünsch euch alles Gueti, hebet Sorg zu euch und rutschet guet ins neui Joor...

I have learned how to say (or at least read) several new ways of wishing "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" among these posts - it's a great thread that Luiz has started here.

I'll add one that isn't well known, from the 3 years I lived in Luxembourg:

Schéi Chrëschtdeeg an e glécklecht Neit Joer

This morning, many of us here in the US (I am in Michigan) woke up to a nice snowfall for Christmas. We have about 15cm, many people have double that.

Merry Christmas to all, and may the New Year bring a new RPN calc from HP!

This year I can SAY happy holidays in Chinese, but by next year, perhaps I’ll be able to write it. For now, you’ll have to settle for English.
