Get An HP-60000 Now! (Humor) Message #8 Posted by Mike Sebastian (Texas) on 28 Nov 2002, 11:49 a.m., in response to message #7 by lowracer
The HP-60000 is a new concept in personal computing. The HP-60000 gets its name because it's "Hardly Portable having been built from 60,000 separate components." You can have have RPN and the gummy wheel problem if you want - this is your no-compromise personal computing device built to your specifications!
I GOT 60,000 ELECTRONIC PARTS IN 2 MONTHS NO JOKES READ THIS!!!
Comments GREETING ALL! Please follow the EXACT instructions and you can own an HP-60000 too. I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it: A little while back, I was browsing through news groups and e-mails just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you can own the HP-60000 within weeks with only an initial investment of six components. So I thought, "yeah right, this must be a scam," but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send one electronic component from your junk drawer (anything from a resistor to a computer mother board) to each of the six names and addresses stated in the article. You then place your own name and address on the bottom of the list and post the article in at least 200 news groups (there are thousands). No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured, "What have I got to lose; except six electronic components and some postage?" Then I invested the measly six components.
WELL GUESS WHAT?....... Within seven days, I started receiving the parts for my HP-60000. I was in awe. I figured it would end soon, but the parts just kept showing up. I got 31 components my first week. By the end of the second week, I had received nearly two thousand components. By the end of the eighth week, I'd received over sixty thousand electronic components. My house looks like an electronics salvage warehouse. My wife left me and filed for divorce, but my attorney assures me I'll be able to keep my HP-60000 parts after the marital property is divided. My attorney says my wife will probably get the house, but that's really a benefit because I'm going to need a warehouse for my HP-60000.
PLEASE NOTE: Please follow the directions EXACTLY, and the parts for an HP-60000 can be yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. Here Are The Four Easy Steps To Success: Get six (6) separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper. "PLEASE HELP ME BUILD AN HP-60000." Now get six (6) electronic components and tape one (1) to of each of the six pieces of paper (or vice-versa if the component is larger than the piece of paper) so the component will not be lost. Next, place one paper with component in each of the six envelopes or boxes and seal them. You now should have six sealed parcels each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase with your name and address written thereon. What you are doing is recycling electronic components -THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are sending surplus electronic components to an electronic components recycler. Clearly, I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. Therefore, I checked it out with the U.S. Postal Service. Other than not mailing hazardous materials, they thought collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in postage for each HP-60000 was a wonderful idea. Mail the six envelopes to the following addresses:
[1] Joy Component Salvage, c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, LLP, Los Angeles, CA 90000
[2] Hussain Components and Recyclers c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, NJ 07001, USA
[3] Ryan Electronic Supplies, c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, LLP, Tarzana, Ca 91356
[4] Brad's Recyclers , c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, LLP., Cambridge SE, MI 49506
[5] Romel's HP-60000 Project, , c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, LLP, New York NY, 10044
[6] Sparky's ESD, c/o Dewey, Chetham & Howe, Pasco, Wa 99301
Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up (six becomes 5, and 5 becomes 4, and etc.) and add YOUR NAME as number 6 on the list. Change anything you need to but try to keep this article as close to the original as possible. Now post your amended article to at least 200 news groups. All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more components you get! THAT'S IT. All you have to do is jump news groups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each news group. ***REMEMBER THE MORE NEWS GROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE COMPONENTS YOU GET FOR YOUR HP-60000!*** IT IS A MUST FOR YOU TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200.
