HP 82240B Printer Combatible with 41?
Message #1 Posted by Steve Seto on 15 Sept 2002, 7:34 p.m.

Does anyone know if the "B" version of the 82240 IR printer is compatible with the 41 IR module? TIA.

Hi;

Both HP82240A/B are compatible with the 82242A IR module. The printers only have a different character set (among internal electronics, that are "invisible" for the user), and the HP41 will use the range with the same characters in both of them. That means printers will always generate the same printout for the same HP41 orighin.

Maybe you already know, but the B version generates a better reading printout for listings; graphics are identical for both of them.

Is that what you mean? If so, I hope it helps.

Cheers.

Luiz: Thank you; you did, in fact, answer my question.
