article about Apollo spacecraft computer
Message #1 Posted by Ellis Easley on 8 July 2002, 11:16 a.m.

There have been some discussions here about the computers used in the space program in general and on the Apollo spacecraft in particular. While following a link Massimo gave me to some information about the Olivetti Programma 101, I found an IEEE Transactions article from 1963 describing the design of a computer to be used on the Apollo spacecraft. It was published in a 1971 book about computer design which can be read online:

The book also has an article about the HP9100. It is a compilation of three articles from the Hewlett-Packard Journal.
