HP Luxury Accoutrements (sp?)
Message #1 Posted by John Kercheval on 22 May 2002, 4:20 p.m.

Ok, here is a new topic.

What luxury add ons/mods have you guys done?

Mine were:

Leather cases for the 41s and the 71.

Gold Name Plates for the 41.

And, most importantly, removing the plastic surrounding the screen on the Portable Plus and replacing it with a wood fascia.

A new set of batteries for my HP16C after 10 years, even though it didn't need them ;-)

I sewed a back pocket from an old pair of Levi's (including the little red cloth label) onto the outside of my HP-21 belt-case, so I could carry colored pens & etc. in addition to my calculating device. (I suppose a pocket protector to protect my add-on pocket would have completed the package, but to my recollection I never went THAT far . . . )
