This is interesting, its a "security cradle" for your HP 67. Was this made by HP? Do these exist for other calculators?

They were made for the classics and woodstocks at least. Back in the 70s even four-bangers were expensive enough to be nailed down.

I got one on Ebay a couple of years ago, with an HP-45 locked in it. I was able to open the lock through perseverance. The calculator is in pretty good shape (although the battery compartment is somewhat corroded). Recently I bought a TI-58C locked in the TI Printer Cradle. I was able to unlock that with a file cabinet key.

Just to make sure to answer your questions (see other responses), yes, this was made by HP, and it's made to fit the Woodstock series. I have one with a HP-65. The lock is quite substantial. You're not going to open it with a file cabinet key.

A good locksmith can open this and make a key for a "reasonable" fee.

I have an HP-25 cradle that came with a cable, but no keys. I later obtained a second cradle with keys but no cable. (Needless to say the keys that came with the second cradle didn't fit the lock on the first cradle!!) The second acquisition motivated me to pick the lock on the cradle for which I had no keys. It was disconcertingly easy.

Security cradles are one of the few HP accessories that seem to sell for very low prices... almost always $5-$20. I doubt that any locksmith will make a custom key for that... particularly for the HP65/67 cradle. You are probably much better off to pass on any keyless cradles and buy one with a key.
