Solving complex, linear equations on the 28S
Message #1 Posted by craig karageorge on 11 Mar 2002, 4:21 p.m.

What is the format for entering data to solve complex, linear equations on the HP 28S? for example eq1: (1/40 +2/j5)A + B/j20 +C = 10 eq2: 20A/3j + 5B - (j50)C = -2

Hello;

try this:

eq1: '(1/40+2/(0,5))*A+B/(0,20)+C=10'
eq2: '20*A/(0,3)+5*B-(0,50)*C=-2'

Please, if it doesn't work, forgive-me. I know it works with the HP48G (e.g.: 1+j3 = (1,3) ), but my HP28S is not available (at least till 5:00 PM, Brazilian time, and now we are at 10:25 AM). If you have success, let us know.

Cheers.
