GRAD indicator on financial calcs
Message #1 Posted by mapet on 8 Feb 2002, 4:27 a.m.

I have recently noticed that some of financial calcs that have no trig functions have GRAD indicator on the display. It could be seen during running self test. I wonder why? My guess is that the same LCD was used for other (sci) calcs...

Just because it is cheaper to build up one all-round display than several displays for each model of calculator.

BTW, on the 12C, the BEGIN indicator is of no use for the other calcs, and the C indicator is common to the 12C and the 15C...

BTW2, the GRAD indicator is also used as RAD indicator (without the "G" of course)
