HP-32E battery trick

I've been given a 32E lately with a dead rechargeable battery pack (I don't have the charger anyway). Yesterday I decided to fix it and find a nice elegant solution. I installed 2 AA size standard 1.5V non rechargeable batteries with a little aluminium sheet at the right end to close the circuit between the two batteries at the opposite side of the contacts. Switched it on...It works perfect !
