hp-15c complex mode

I have two questions concerning my newly acquired 15c

1.How to set off the complex mode on the 15c ?

2.What means the little flashing star at the bottom left of the display ? low batteries ?

Hi there,

To answer your questions:

(1) To turn off Complex Mode, clear flag 8--press [g] [CF] 8.

(2) A flashing asterisk means, you guessed it, low batteries.
