RE: Computer ???
I'm not an expert in the field, but my best guess would be a nice advanced HP Laptop.

I'm not sure what you would like or can afford, but I would like an HP Pavilion 13-s120ca x360 Convertible Notebook, 6th-Gen Intel® Core™ i3-6100U, 4GB RAM, Bilingual

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi.

Is it possible to export from the sequence app the values of say U1 (from U1(o) to U1(400)) into list L5 ?

I'm talking about a sequence of numbers that cannot be generated with MAKELIST , for instance a sequence whose generation requires another sequence.

L5:=MAKELIST(Sequence.U1(J),J,0,400)

Thank you DL.

I was close to that solution but in order to do so the sequence app had to be open .

Thanks to you , I can refer to it even closed .

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi.

Suppose i have created an app solver ,say for astronomy , and my equations (more than ten) are stored in a dedicated note catalog.
When I copy several equations (4 for instance) and want to paste them in another duplicated app solver , only one equation appears in the paste menu . why ?

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi there, any progress on the issue of the CK and VC not running with windows?
I am running Windows 8.1 Pro on a Dell laptop. Both startup briefly and then shutdown. I have re-installed C++ 2013 but still no success.
Both run perfectly on Win 7 Pro laptop that I also have.

Any clues as to what next I should try?

Kind Regards
John

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
I'm assuming you mean they start running, then basically immediately crash.

You probably are having a similar problem as the "surface" units. You'll need to wait for just a little bit longer as the plan was to get the translations back, and then release them with a fixed connkit/emu. The last translation just came back...

That gives me an interesting idea.

I wonder whether HP might consider including the virtual emulator for the Prime preinstalled on their HP PC's as a unique selling point?

It might bring the calculator to the attention of people who otherwise wouldn't have considered buying one.

And it would remind older users of the good old days when a computer could compile code as soon as it is switched on, like in the 1980's...without first having to spend a couple of days downloading Visual Studio, as in the 2000's.

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi.

It's strange , when I graph a function with the advanced graphing app or geometry app ,I don't get the same
quality of display as with the app function, polar app or parametric app .
Is it possible to improve that with the next upgrade ?

Also , is it possible to copy and paste from excel to the spreadsheet app ?

Thank you .

Yes, it is possible. But we need some adjustments.

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi .

Did you know ?

Even though the help menu about the CONCAT command only mentions lists , you can concatenate matrices too .
Now , how to concatenate a row-matrix under another ( without copy/paste ) , or even several row-matrices one under another , that's another story .

Let's investigate.

By the way here are some lines from star wars revenge of the siths .

Palpatine : Have you ever heard about the hp prime ?

Anakin : hmm... No !

Palpatine : I'm not surprised . That's not the kind of story the jedis will teach you !

Anakin : How come you ...

Palpatine : Anakin , the hp prime is the only way to esoteric maths ,astronomy, chemistry , physics and algorithms !

Anakin : Is it possible to learn that power !

Palpatine : Not from a texas instrument !

Bye .

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hello .

Found ! (But it works only in CAS view)

Suppose you want to concatenate a finite sequence of n row-matrices (of p columns each) one under another .
step 1 : CONCAT(RM1,RM2,....,RMn)
step 2 :mat2list(Ans)
step 3 :list2mat(ans,p)

Et voilà !

RE: New Version: 2016.08.29 r10637
Hi .

I've found an anomaly .

MAKEMAT(RANDINT(0,9),1,5) gives the expected outcome , [ 1 0 8 9 2 ] for instance , and from home view .

On the other hand , from CAS view the outcome is [1 1 1 1 1], or [2 2 2 2 2] , etc ...

But while in cas view , using menu and importing MAKEMAT(RANDINT(0,9),1,5) from home view
gives the expected outcome .

This should be on the LIST for the next upgrade .

This is another example of the aggravating phenomenon of uppercase/lowercase command differences in CAS. Try doing your example with "makemat" (lowercase) and again with "MAKEMAT" (uppercase). It works as expected in uppercase and fails in lowercase. This is especially sad because the Toolbox Catalog in CAS echoes MAKEMAT in lowercase. Sad
