The codes represent the various factories. Its unlikely HP would reveal specifics, but its a safe bet they're in China.

The 30th Ann 12C ran about 50 times faster than the 25th Ann 12CP. I think the 12CP h/w has remain unchanged, while the 12C changed to a new SOC/CPU because the one used prior was discontinued.

At HHC, I believe Cyrille said the new CPU is roughly the same performance as the prior one, but hopefully someone will get one and post benchmark results here.

I know. So it seems that it's not some wierd HP invention.

But can anyone confirm the dimensions?

I would already have one of I had known this a few months ago. And so on the 34s I had to experiment with soldering and desoldering and finally I soldered an extra connector to one as somewhere in the forums suggested but it's a bit sticking out of the case..

Before buying one, check the dimensions: the pads have a 2mm pitch while this cable has a 1.27mm pitch.

Cable assemblies in sample quantities can be had from Samtec for FREE. Just add some pogo pins and a clip can be made from a $2 sheet of brass from the local hobby shop.



No soldering required.

Is there any difference of the button feel between between:
12c
25 yrs plat anniv edition and
30 yrs anniv
and 2015 latest CPU edition?

lastly:
Will there be a 35yr limited anniv edition this year??

Your home made cable is a thing of beauty! Great job!

Note that the new 10BII+ and 12C do have normally a solder spot for a USB connector. So if your aim is truly development, you can simply do a clean cut in the plastic casing and solder a USB connector. The connector spot is on the PCB edge to allow this.

Thought this might be the best place to ask:
I have a 12C with the 2009-07-02 firmware and the associated SST bug, I would like to upgrade to the most recent bug-free version.

Is there anywhere i can download this?
