HP => Agilent => Keysight Technologies
The electronic test and measurement portion of Agilent Technologies will be spun off as Keysight Technologies effective later this year. The medical, analytic and other portions will remain under the Agilent name.

So - HP spun off Agilent who spun off Avago, Keysight, and portions to Philips, Marvell and others. And the one that is most directly related to Bill and Dave's efforts is going for its third name...

RE: HP => Agilent => Keysight Technologies
i remember that i had a hard time to grok that the brand name was changed from something that was famous around the world to something that you would expect on a washing machine, rather than on some first-class test equipment.
even more so, when i thought i was working with an "Infiniiium" scope, but its W95 boot screen told me that it was only an "Infiniium". i wonder were these "A.." guys had their eyes in those days!

in hindsight, i want my [hp] back. period.

Hello,

I wonder if gas chromatography and other analytical equipment will remain under the Agilent name.
