I didn't believe it when my friend pointed me to the Internet Archive and this posting!

Thank you very much Richard, that's a great finding !

For many years I've been thinking that these documents were lost...we owe many thanks also, to the person (surely a former HP employee) who scanned and uploaded them.

Now it's time to have fun studying all that Big Grin
(without forgetting Tony Duell's work which isn't less valuable)

Marc

In no way do these diminish the importance of Tony's work. Most of Tony's drawings are done in a more logical and easier to understand format - especially the gating board. Also, the originals don't include the deflection boards or power supply.

RE: 9100B Original HP Schematics & Flowcharts
You're absolutely right -not to mention the time spent by Tony to reconstruct these schematic diagrams !

Maybe I wasn't accurate enough (writing too early in the morning has its side effects) : I implicitly emphasized on the historic aspect of these documents, since so much ends into the trash can, only to be missed years later.

Besides that, it's clear that they don't cover everything, for example there's only the control section of the ROM. Could it be that somewhere, a reverse-engineering project is pending, including a dump of the main ROM ? That would open some doors to an emulator ! Dreams, dreams...

regards,
Marc
