HP Prime Simulator in portable mode
Would HP Prime Simulator work in portable mode (e.g. off USB stick)? If so, is it enough to copy the installed files elsewhere, and if so where the variables and other data will be stored (perhaps there is some HEX editing or .bat file trick that can force them to be stored in a different folder than Windows' user data, similar to the one with Connectivity Kit?

Yes. Yes, and locally in the exe folder under "HP_Prime" dir.

RE: HP Prime Simulator in portable mode
Thanks. Does it mean that I need to write a batch file to save variables locally, or it just does it by default.
I don't see any directories under where Prime Simulator is installed, but I can see the following C:/User/Administrator/AppData/Roaming/HP_Prime I'm not sure if I fully understand how to make it portable... Cheers! |

RE: HP Prime Simulator in portable mode
Step 1) Drag the installed folder to your USB drive.
Step 2) Run the exe It checks where it is running from, and if it is a removable drive the behavior modifies slightly. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |
