Looking for PAC Screen Advanced 2.0 Manual
I recently acquired a. This is an HP-IL Video Interface with some kind of GPIO Port built-in.
It was manufactured in Germany in the 1980's. Would any of you happen to have a manual for it?

Here are some photos of it:

RE: Looking for PAC Screen Advanced 2.0 Manual
Thanks, Andi.

I have the 1.1 manual.

There are differences in the V2 hardware.

v1.1 Centronics Port has a 16-pin connector.
v2 Centronics/GPIO? port has 20-pin connector.

V2 has a mouse port that is not mentioned in the v1.1 manual.

Many 1.1 features (escape codes, etc.) seem to apply to v2.

I'll keep hoping someone has the manual.

Indeed, I've got a PacScreen 2.0 manual in English. However, I have not scanned it yet. As currently there is not much time left for hobbies I cannot promise I will scan the 2.0 version, however, it might help to increase our knowledge about it.

I think there are quite some differences between the 1.1 and 2.0 version. I'm currently looking a bit deeper into the 2.0 because unfortunately, my PacScreen 1.1. recently died. That's why I had to get the 2.0 out of storage and now I'm praying that this one will not suffer the same fate!

The 2.0 port is named MultiPort and it supports extensions. One of them you'll find here on page 26:
W/W Cursor 89/1

The mouse seems to be an W&W OEM variant. For example, it has a D-SUB 9-pin male connector. The mouse if for sure very rare and maybe impossible to find.

I'm not sure about the escape codes, however, my impression after a quick look was that there substantial differences, too.

Not only are there differenced between the v1.1 and v2 hardware, there are variations of the v2 hardware.

One has a button, another doesn't.

One has a heatsink, another doesn't.

One has a 10-pin header mouseport, another has a DB-9 female connector.

I, for one, would be interested in a pdf of the v2 manual.

The Mouse Port on the 10-Pin version 2 model looks like it has the same signals as an old Microsoft Bus Mouse.

With the 9-pin female D-SUB connector I think you could use a D-SUB 9-pin female mouse connected by a printer cable like that (2 male connectors variant): http://www.ebay.com/itm/373947558999

A serial mouse (DB9 female connector) cannot be wired to a bus mouse port.
