HP50g Emulator
Hi,
Can anyone tell me where I could find the real, official HP50g emulator that came with the CD/DVD? I had to rebuild my VM from scratch, and I can’t put my hands on it. It’s not even on the HP website…. I don’t want to use the Emu48 emulator, I just don’t like it very much.

Thanks

Thanks Massimo.
Unfortunately it can’t run on my PC. I’ve tried a bunch, and all return the same error message.

That's because (I think) you clicked on the 50g emulator in order to download it. That only put on your disk a 0 byte file that the system cannot obviously execute.
Download the whole 7zip from the right side of the page and then extract the emulator(s) you need. Or select what you need from the torrent.

Nevertheless, on Windows 10 Pro x64, it will warn you that the OS version is unsupported, but it lets you go on.

You're perfectly right. I was on my phone and didn't even see the right side of the page.
Silly me.

Thanks

RE: HP50g Emulator
Hello Massimo,

I have an unrelated question. I have done an ARCHIVE backup of my physical HP 50g to an SD card and would like to do a RESTORE to the HP 50g emulator so that I can clone it. I have copied the archive file to the directory where the HP 50g emulator is installed on my PC, but it does not show up in the File Manager and there is no Port 3 for the SD card. Do you know how to do this ?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
sorry but I don't use this emulator nor have it installed (just tried out to help Neve), so I cannot be of help.

I'm sure more knowledgeable friends will show up to answer this question.

I use Emu48 for emulating 50g. On Emu48, you can drag-drop file(object) into emulator screen. And file will appear on calc's stack 1.

And, I guess there isn't SD card emulation.

I'm downloading official hp calc emulator 7z. It's too large so I have to wait.
