41CL clupdate FLCHK? "BoardGeneration"

hi all,

It's a trivial point, but I noticed during FLCHK? that clupdate reports:

Code:

16:44:24 Report     Outdated ROM images [BoardGeneration: third]

whereas I thought my 41CL had a V5 board.

Or are these two different things?

As I say, I doubt it's important, just caught my eye… thanks very much.

V1 and V2 - first generation
V3 and V4 - second generation
V5 - third generation

V1 and V2 - first generation
V3 and V4 - second generation
V5 - third generation

I think "generation" is specifically concerned with how much *flash space* to store ROMs is on the board.

1st gen = V1 & V2 = 0 → 0FF (256 pages)
2nd gen = V3 & V4 = 0 → 1FF (512 pages)
3rd gen = V5 = 0 → 3FF (1024 pages)
