HP 12C price
Dear All,

I hope I post my message to a correct place. I found a HP 12C in my garage. It’s in a good condition. As far as I decoded the manufacture year of this, it’s from 1985 (made in the USA). Could you please help me to categorize the price of it?

Thanks in advance!

RE: HP 12C price
Sadly it won't be that high. The used market is awash with 12Cs because there have been so many made over the years.

What's the letter just after the 4 digits of the date code? Those made in the USA ('A') do sometimes command a higher price than those made in Singapore or Brazil ('S' and 'B' respectively).

Maybe some relatively recent examples will be helpful. In my collection there are four HP 12C's, all made in USA.

The most recent one I acquired (July 14, 2018) is a unit from 1987 that came with the original box and spiral-bound manual. This calculator is in very good condition and I paid a total of $33.20 (US), including shipping.

I also have two 1985 units, both in very good condition. No manuals or boxes came with these when I bought them together in June, 2016 for a total of $49.89 including shipping and handling.

Thank you guys for your help! I guess I will keep it for the future. Seems it’s not worth to sell. Smile
