There is no resistance in the diagram, but I don’t know if it is necessary, because I haven’t make a cable for the G850VS.

There are inexpensive soldering kits available on Amazon or Ebay, perfectly adequate for such a simple task.

There's a 10K ohm resistance in the diagram or are you talking about something else?

If you can't solder, have you considered simply buying a cable? They're readily available in Japan.
