The hp48 code page is actually more Unicode than it seems. Except for 34 characters, the conversion is 1:1. Of course, those high characters need to be encoded in UTF-8. It shouldn't be too hard to write a userRPL program to search and replace those 34 characters, and properly encode all others in UTF-8.
