HP: The incredible shrinking PC (and some of our favourite calculators)

The things that killed all of my interest in the follow-on HP products after the 95/100/200LX family was that they completely did away with the numeric keypad. They were still too small to touch type on the keyboards, but it was no longer possible to effectively thumb type either.

I have stayed with the 200LX too and I use one daily for databases with my modest collections of calculators and watches.

The handhelds kind of stagnated for a few years, until HP jumped on the Windows CE bandwagon with the 300LX, and later the Jornada line.
