The 34S already has one of these functions:
(-1)x gives cos(pi x) I've been tempted to fill out the trigonometric functions -- I did implement sec, cosec and cot (with inverses) at one point, but they didn't make it. The extra trigonometric functions were tempting too. The haversine rule is still used occasionally -- I saw it in production when I was playing with GPS guided tractors two or three years ago. Vincenty's formulæ is more accurate but more difficult to implement. - Pauli |
