Thanks ! I could see the Segger cable was the tag-connect but I didn't realise that was wrong too.

The big problem is that the HP pitch is 2.0mm, while Tag-Connect is 1.27mm (50mil). The Tag-Connect always has the locator pins, though you could cut them off. The optional Tag-Connect latching legs (not present on "-NL" suffix Tag-Connect products) are not at all similar to the HP retention mechanicals.

I haven't yet made a cable assembly by Katie's method, but it looks like it should be fairly easy.
