I want to thank the posters on this thread!
For the longest time, since I got my Win 8 machine a couple of years back, I have been unable to interface my HP 50g and 49g calculaors to my PC, reducing the calcs' usefulness to me. Unsigned drivers! Like duh! Now why didn't I think of that? But even if I did, I did not know how to install such on Win 8! So this has been an enlightening and totally useful thread. Now what to do with my 48G and G+?! I have one of these serial/USB adaptor cables, but it seems also to have stopped working with my new computer and if any software and drivers came with, I've lost them! (And I don't remember the brand of cable! Oh, well.) Thanks again, to all. |
