Sorry that nobody seems to have an appropriate solution to your problem.
My first guess on the broken post issue was that the contacts of the so called "zebra strip connector" or of the flexible bat PCB to the main PCB could be the matter of concern. As these contacts are only warranted by perfect fitting and firm pressure they are the Achilles' heels of the HP41.
These are only some general hints on this matter and may be not of real value to you as you already did such sophisticated measurements on the electronics.
