In terms of markup, the business models have always been sold at a premium in comparison to the scientific and graphic calculators (in terms of production cost). Perceived value is a two-edged sword, for every customer complaining that they're paying too much, there's another complaining that the item is 'too cheap' to be a product for 'professionals'. The 10Bii is cheap enough but that's most definitely a student's calculator. |
