Yes. The EXP-1 function already exists to do this. I actually calculate:

sinh(x) = ((z * 0.5) / (z+1)) * (z+1+1), where z = \(e^x-1\)

The order of operations should avoid overflow issues which is why I think this ought to work for larger x. Still, the obvious approach works for large x and will be faster.
