It always was possible. The problem was the computer with the connkit being able to see the android device across the network.

What was added was another detection method (zeroconf deiscovery protocol) and the ability to type an ip address directly in on the HP prime app allowing you to specify the location of the connkit.

If you are on the same network and antivirus/firewall is not blocking your ability to connect, it should just show up. Go into the network connection screen and pick it. If it doesn't show up, type in your PC ip address into that screen.
